Cristiano Ronaldo is Europe’s leading marksman for yet another season. Thanks to the 48 goals that he scored for Real Madrid during the 2014-15 La Liga campaign, he has won his fourth Golden Shoe. The Portuguese star becomes the first player to claim the accolade four times, having previously secured the award in 2007-08, 2010-11 and 2013-14. The Madrid man also scooped his third Pichichi Trophy this year. The Whites forward picked up 96 points in this season’s Golden Shoe rankings, finishing ahead of Lionel Messi (43 goals / 86 points) and Sergio Agüero (26 goals / 52 points). In addition, Cristiano Ronaldo beat his personal-best La Liga goals tally for a single campaign and comprehensively surpassed the total of 31 with which he claimed the Golden Shoe last term. (source)
